A mid-sized Arts Company was growing in prominence but the Board was not keeping pace in engagement and fundraising. Instead of providing fresh energy and perspectives, the Board was primarily comprised of founding members who were uncomfortable with fundraising.
Lynne led a process to refresh the board composition to prioritize members who would help drive the Arts Company forward. By establishing clearer requirements and governance structures, she cycled long-standing members into a creatively established Advisory Board structure, allowing them to remain involved and honored while making room for new voices.
Lynne managed a successful transition that included a multi-phased timeline with clear narratives for leadership and established ongoing communications and recognition plans. Board meetings became more productive, the Board was deeply engaged and Board Giving increased by 25% in the first year.The Advisory Board was successful and serves as an additional source of
